SEWUUC is an acronym for the Southeast Wisconsin Unitarian Universalist Congregations which is made up of representatives from each of the nine UU societies in Southeastern Wisconsin.

Unitarian Universalists gather together in community on a quest for truth and meaning. Visitors and members are welcome wherever they may be on their spiritual path. The UU congregations of SE Wisconsin offer a community of diverse beliefs united by faith and committed to work toward a better world.

Interfaith Conference Honors UU
Frank Zeidler Award

Janet Nortrom, long time active member of First Unitarian, was honored at the 41st Annual Awards Luncheon hosted by the Interfaith Conference of Greater Milwaukee where she receivied the Frank Zeidler Award for her tireless work on social justice issues, voter education, and as an environmental advocate. She has served for years as an Interfaith cabinet member from the Southeastern Wisconsin Unitarian Universalist Congregations (SEWUUC). Close to 70 UUs attended the awards luncheon on December 8. Congratulations Janet!

Choralfest Scheduled
February 18
Six SEWUUC choirs will combine in concert on Saturday, February 18 at 2:30 p.m. While hosted by the Olympia Brown Unitarian Universalist Church in Racine, the concert is being held at the larger First Presbyterian church nearby at 716 College Avenue (corner of College and Highway 20). The concert will feature songs sung by each participating choir and will conclude in massed presentation. The choirs celebrate the Earth, and Christian, Jewish, Buddhist and Islamic religions. The Unsung UU Award will also be presented and a reception will follow the concert. The concert is free, but a good will offering will be accepted.

SEWUUC Co-Sponsoring Ground for Hope-Wisconsin
October 21-22
The Interfaith Conference is co-presenting the Ground for Hope – Wisconsin event on October 21-22. This is an interfaith environmental training event for seminarians, clergy and lay leaders. SEWUUC agreed to be a co-sponsor of the event, will help in the planning, have our logo on publicity materials, will publicize the event and have representatives at the event to assist with logistics.
