Spreading the Word
Through a united effort, SEWUUC publicizes our faith by purchasing advertising on area public radio stations as well as in the alternative press. This coverage invites area residents to participate in our Sunday services and other offerings.

Gay, Lesbian, Bi sexual and Transgender Rights
Many of our UU congregations have been certified by our denomination as “Welcoming Congregations,” which means that they are inclusive and expressive of the concerns of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender persons, and celebrate their lives.
We welcome same-sex couples and recognize their committed relationships. We nurture dialogue among lesbian, gay, transgender, bi-sexual, and heterosexual persons to create deeper trust.
We also work actively for freedom and equality in the largersociety.

Religious Growth
Over the years, SEWUUC has sponsored various events to explore subjects from religion, to current events, to personal growth. These provide an opportunity to meet other area Unitarian Universalists in a more intimate setting and to experience the depth of our ministry in Southeastern Wisconsin.
We have offered full- and half-day workshops and conferences as well with consultants, guest speakers, or council-member volunteers on topics of general interest.

Justice Issues
Through SEWUUC, each member congregation located in the Milwaukee Area is also a member of community service organizations such as the Interfaith Council of Greater Milwaukee and the Milwaukee Innercity Congregations Allied for Hope [MICAH].
Other area congregations are active in groups such as SOPHIA [Stewards of Phrophetic, Hopeful Intentional Action] and CUSH [Congregations United to Serve Humanity].
